POPIA Policy
Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 · Last updated: June 2026
1. Purpose
This notice explains how Finance Atlas approaches personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). It supplements our Privacy Policy.
2. The Short Version: We Do Not Collect Personal Information
The calculators on this site run entirely in your browser. Figures you enter — prices, deposits, budgets, rates — are never transmitted to us, stored by us, or shared by us. We do not require registration and we hold no database of users. The optional URL-sharing feature encodes only the calculator inputs into the web address on your own device; sharing that link is your choice.
3. Information Processed by Third Parties
Advertising on this site is served by Google AdSense, which uses cookies and may process information such as your IP address and ad interactions as an independent responsible party under its own policies. You can manage personalised advertising at Google's Ads Settings. Aggregated, privacy-respecting analytics may be used to understand overall traffic; this data does not identify individuals.
4. Your Rights Under POPIA
POPIA gives you the right to be told when information about you is collected, to access it, to request correction or deletion, and to object to processing. Because we do not collect or hold personal information, requests will in most cases be referred to the relevant third party (such as Google). You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa).
5. Email Correspondence
If you contact us by email, we will use your address only to respond to your query and will not add you to any marketing list or share your details.
